ICDC: Love Tomorrow
Creative design during week-long Design Challenge for 'Love Tomorrow'
ICDC (International Creative Design Challenge) 2026 was hosted in Antwerp by Karel de Grote Hogeschool. This year's brief came from Love Tomorrow, Tomorrowland's sustainability platform: how do you motivate Dreamville visitors to take their camping gear home on Monday?
The concept was selected as one of the top two finalists out of twelve competing teams.
The insight
We realised the problem starts long before Monday morning. By the time someone packs for a festival, they've already decided whether they're bringing their tent home or leaving it. Tomorrowland needed to be present much earlier in the journey.
The concept: Leave Your Trace
We designed a system built around a physical object called "a Loom": a small glowing light distributed by on-site fairies to tent areas that are kept clean and tidy. The Loom is a token of appreciation, a souvenir, and a nudge all at once. Visitors who receive one are reminded that their choices leave a trace, but that it can be a positive one.
The experience runs across the full festival journey: a packing app with eco-friendly tent suggestions before arrival, Light Fairies placing Looms on-site during the weekend, and on Sunday night, all collected Looms lighting up the Dreamville campsite in one final show.
